Dale,
My amp is a 65 re-issue deluxe reverb, probably around a 2000 or 2001. I like the amp... I've had it modified, I changed the tubes to 6L6 as opposed to 6V6's... a much fatter tone overall. I have a Telecaster on the way, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it sounds through the amp. Quite a few guitarists play through it at our open stage, and they all seem to like it. I had a Peavey Classic 30 before this one, which had a great boxy SRV type of sound, I just did'nt like having the knobs on the top of the amp, that's one of the main reasons that I went with the Deluxe. If you need a good clean sound with lots of headroom I would suggest the Twin reverb, I've always wanted one, but I would rather keep my load kind of light. When I listen to the amp through the mains it sounds pretty chunky and not too far off from a Marshall, I run through a Boss Me-33 multi-effects unit, so I use that for pickup simulation...single coils to hummbuckers... that seems too help. I would say go with the Fender Twin for a nice punchy clean sound, and maybe use a Tube Screamer, etc for OD. What are you using now for your rig? Good luck to you and your band, and keep me posted... I ocassionally have a Friday off, so Maybe I can check you guys out sometime. All the best.

Jeff

Hey Guys, Your band sounds great! Cool pics too. I'm usually pretty busy giging on the weekends, so it's really hard to check out bands. I hope to check out one of your shows sometime...it's always great to hear good original material. Happy New Year, and all the best to you in 2009!
