Obscured By Pink, "The Pittsburgh Floyd", will be doing a second performance at the Altar Bar in Pittsburgh, Pa. on January 16th. The band will be doing many Pink Floyd classics and has added some originals in the same genre.

BIOGRAPHY:

(Lead and Lap Steel Guitarist)
Sheldon began his musical odyssey at the age of twelve in a small town on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, pa. He became serious about his craft when he was station in Biloxi, MS. During his time in the service. After many inspiring trips to New Orleans he became influenced by the various blues musicians on Bourbon Street and in The Quarter. Later, he was involved with many bands and played alot of clubs throughout his career. As many guitarists of his time he found David Gilmour to be in his words “a cut above the rest.” Through careful study and years of work he, finally, decided to play this material as a staple of his career. He separates Gilmour from other guitarists and says, “He takes you away to some other place, another time. He makes you time travel!” After “kicking it around” for years he has finally found that place where he wants to be musically. He says, “I’m one of the most lucky musicians you’ll find. I get to play the music I love the most, as much as I want, with the musicians I want to perform with. In this business that situation is hard to find.” He is currently performing with a band he formed about 2 years ago called "Obscured By Pink," which is a Pink Floyd Tribute Band from south of Pittsburgh. He is constantly searching for members that are familiar with this music and want to work on the project with him. In addition, he sometimes performs locally with other musicians when asked. He is a Strat/Gilmour guy!
