- BIOGRAPHY:
- COOL CHANGE is an outstanding acoustic duo of musical
entertainment comprised of two of Pittsburgh’s seasoned musicians and vocalists, performing easy listening, classic rock, country, comedy & parodies, along with many other varieties of classic hits from the 50’s through the sounds of today.
COOL CHANGE’s playlist includes artists such as Billy Joel, Elton
John, the Eagles, John Cougar, Styx, and REO Speedwagon, just to name a few from the pop era of the 70’s and 80’s, along with the classics of the 50’s and 60’s such as Chuck Berry, the Beatles, Van Morrison, The Monkees, Elvis, and The Who. There’s also a variety of country from yesterday and today including some classics and comedy songs from artists like Johnny Cash, Ray Stevens and Jerry Reed. And the younger generation needn’t feel left out as the hits of today are also blended into the mix, displaying the duo’s versatility.
While both members share lead and backup vocals and percussion,
Butch Fritz of Fawn Township plays acoustic guitar, and Jack Slagel of
Sarver tickles the ivories on the piano. Their talent and decades of
experience combined with today's compact technology will have people
wondering how it's possible that just the two of them create such a full
sound. [Though please note, all music and vocals are performed live - no
pre-recorded music or karaoke tracks are used.]
Both Jack and Butch have performed in a wide range of professional
Pittsburgh bands over the years. Both have performed and recorded with
many local oldies show and concert entertainment bands, local country and
rock bands, along with bands for private weddings and corporate events.
Their experience shows through with their vast array of songs as well as
with their showmanship and professionalism on stage. Together they make
up a unique and entertaining blend of classic to current hits.
And COOL CHANGE can cater their show to fit any event - from a bar
or nightclub setting to any type of private party or event.
