CONGRATS Annie! This is wonderfiul news, I wish you all the best.
I just wanted to let you all know that I will be a part of the Russell Crowe movie "The Last 3 Days". I film on Tuesday and Wednesday o0f this week, and possibly more.
There are other movie gigs in the works, so I will keep my friends posted!

- Playing since 1 yr old. First, Classical, won opera Scholarship to CMU, hated Opera, loved jazz. Played in vari0us bands on the road from age 18. Opened for BB KIng, played w The 4 Coins, Wilson Pickett, Danny Gatton and in PA w/ Kenny Blake, Emily Remler, my own bands etc Lived away until 2003. I am in the studio trying to complete 2 CD's

UPDATE SINCE LAST TIME: Due to all the storms, my Computer crashed and I had to do a clean boot of everything. I did have alot bcked up on CD, but lost alot also. I am definitely looking for work. I have some connections too...and can do anything from a duo to a 9 piece band and up I have wasted much time looking for that special group...but no dice, so I can either get a day job or really make a concentrated effort to get some work. I see now that noones gonna do it for ,me!
where do I start?
Due to Stock Market atrocities, I have had to re-think my 200p/hr recording gig (I don;t make the money) BUT A benefactor has come to my aid and I even have permission from an author to do an original tune he wrote. I do have 2unfinishedCD's but I HAVE TO DO THIS TUNE. The words are all abt suffering w/ money, the economy, business or lack of etc.
The music is just a blues w/ a few twists but nothing unGodly outside. I have done a definite arrangement and need drums, bass (maybe) guitar and harp and I have a dear friend donating backround vocals along w/ mine. I need a fairly inexpensive studio to do this ASAP. I won't be able to pay anyone, but this is a great tune and so appropo!!!!!
Anyone who knows me, knows I am fast, so I want to get it done quick w/o sacrificing quality.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED..PLEASE MESSAGE NE ASAP THRU THIS SITE!

Surprise, surprise........
On another website, I discovered that I am 16th in the ratings of all jazz musicians in Pittsburgh! This is wonderful, because I was the only one who actually produced and recorded her own music at home! I have a better version. I can't wait to see how that does. Finally, maybe my luck has changed........

nEW CD IN THE FINAL STAGES
I am finally going to finish my CD which I started last Summer!!!!! Session time: 4pm next Wednesday at Heid Studios. I have an originalI also will be recording with the help of Ms Freddye.

Announcing Open jobs
Why are all events only annnounced AFTER they are totally booked and organized? I really makes me feel that networking does nothing except a phone number exchange that is never used anyway.
If there is a festival, lets say, that needs bands, etc, wouldn't it be a nice gesture to announce it FIRST before all the entertainment is booked???

Don said… - Nice to hear back..... I have been using a Roland VR 760 (V Combo)..... Has drawbars, a built in leslie for rotary speed and such. The piano patches are totally awesome. Easy to change on the fly for live performances.
