it's official...this past saturday was my last gig with the band back home. i'm new to the area, and band-less for the first time in 9+ years. looking for covers, 2-4 gigs/month with the opportunity for growth (writing + gigging frequency). i excell at rhythm & vocals, i can hold my own as a lead man. looking to play pop, modern rock, new(nu) metal, and 90's grunge and its contemporary alternative counterpart(s). please contact me through this site to get conversations going. thanks!

Looking for drums and a singer for a start-up project for a blues/funk/mowtown type band. Our intentions are to play out 2-3 times a month, myself (on bass) and guitar player have day jobs, so are in this for fun and perhaps a few extra bucks, not looking to make a living at it. If this sounds like something you're interested in contact me at my e-mail

Yeah, I read all about that in the "International Musician" a monthly magazine I get from the AFM Musician's Union.

General Info - This message was sent to me from Frank Maffei (Danny and the Juniors) - I tought you all would find it interesting, as follows:
-------- Original Message --------
>> Subject: MUSICIANS WIN A VICTORY AT DELTA AIRLINES
>> Date: Fri, 27 Apr 2007 17:41:23 -0400
>> From: Bill Dennison
>> Organization: Local 802
>> To:
>>
>> As a result of the leadership of the AFM, the work of AFM Director of Government Relations Hal Ponder, Local 802 President Mary Landolfi, and the on-going participation of Local 802 members, Delta airlines has decided to officially accomodate musicians traveling with instruments. Delta will now allow all small musical instruments and guitars on board all flights. In addition to its carry-on policy, Delta also improved its checked baggage policy. Checked items can now measure up to 120 linear inches and weigh up to 100 pounds.
>>
>> The AFM and Local 802 have lifted their boycott of Delta and are currently urging all other airlines to adopt Delta's policies.
>>
>> Thank you to the members that responded to the Local 802 request for written accounts of airline horror stories, to the many that conveyed the challenge of flying with an instrument to the union, and to all the musicians that contributed to this effort.
>>
>> This was an important first step towards adressing the difficulties musicians face traveling with instruments.
>>
>> We will send out another email shortly that provides a more detailed protocol for preparing to fly Delta under the new policy.
>>
>> Please feel free to contact our Political Director, Julia Smith, with any comments or questions or to get involved in this campaign. She can be reached at 212-245-4802 X 176 or jsmith@local802afm.org.

Hi Dave. I may as well toss my hat into the ring .. there are certain things I do miss about group work. Not looking for stardom, no ego trips.I have a varied and capable history to bring to the table. Check my page for sound bytes. Peace!!

Hey all - WendyK here - lead vocals, rock (not hard), r&b, blues, jazz, latin, ready to sing for you. Lots of experience, pro attitude, own my own equipment (and transportation), have played with many little known bands over the past 10+ yrs in Pittsburgh. Looking for that 'semi-perfect' situation where we can all get along, have fun, play great music (to an audience), and get paid! I also play precussion - congos, bongos, etc.

Hey Dave! I'm sorta slow sometimes at responding but do appreciate all you're doing. Thanks so much for providing this forum to all us struggling musicians!
