All Aspects of the Music Industry ... Where It All Comes Together.

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a decent practice space. My Band "The New Deal" sort of went caput last summer before we even giged (we had one gig- that's it). The Bass Player and Drummer quit after we 42 songs down; nice arangements of blues covers you never hear around here. Well, I found a new drummer and bass player and we need practice space to get them up on the set list.

Finding a decent practice space around here is a drag. I've checked out the storage spaces in the south side and they really suck - 13' by 12' is just too small. And they are all concrete and accoustically terrible.

Some other ideas have occured to me. Find three other bands and share a rented space, maybe over a store in one of that many towns around here where the business districts aren't teaming with activity (Etna, Millvale, Blawnox to name a couple). I want a place where the drummer can leave one of his kits and the bass player can leave his speaker (and may the head too), where we can basically leave the PA, our gear and everything set up, or at least partially set up. We'd time share the place if you know what I mean - everybody takes one or two slots so we can actually share the place. If you do this with 3 other bands and let's say each band is four pieces. That's the cost split between 16 people.

Am I asking for so much? Anybody interested in this?

Sam
